Electrical Inspection & Reporting
Electrical Inspection & Reporting Services
Valmac undertakes electrical inspection and reporting requirements for all electrical installations in your home and office.
Aside from the kind of work we do when fault finding, there are two other types of testing we do on a daily basis as electrical engineers. These are called Initial Inspections and Periodic Inspections.
Ultimately all the testing we carry out is designed to highlight faults and weaknesses in electrical installations. In doing so this safeguards lives and property from the risks of electrical shocks and fires.
Initial & Periodic Inspections
Initial Inspections are what we do on new stuff. Let's imagine for a moment we install a new ring main in a kitchen. Before we put it into service it should be inspected and tested to verify that the installation conforms to British Standards. Indeed, before we can issue any kind of compliance certificate, we have to test and record the results in accordance with these regulations.
Periodic Inspections are what we do on installations that are already in service. There are guidelines that determine the extent of testing and how often it should be carried out for all types of buildings from homes to hospitals. However, if wading through the minefield of information isn't that appealing, we will quite happily walk you through it all.
Our Service Promise
Regardless of the fine detail, its important not to lose site of why these inspections should be done. Essentially all electrical systems are degrading over time, much in the same way as your car does. After all, that's why we have to have an MOT every year. By keeping track of the health of your electrics, we can carry out planned maintenance before anything serious occurs like a shock or fire. Essentially it is all about being proactive in safeguarding lives and property.
Whatever electrical inspection needs you may have, we are always happy to assist. After all, we don't need much arm twisting to convince us to pull out our testing kit. We live for this stuff!
